Then I heard about H&M's Long Live Fashion campaign. (Hat tip to Michelle) You can bring bags of clothing in any condition--even full of holes--to an H&M store & they will send them to be reused, or recycled. Perfect--there's an H&M a 20-minute bike ride from our house! Besides being a green way to downsize your clothing collection, you can even get a $5 H&M voucher as incentive.

I was always under the impression that clothing donated in bins would likely be recycled for rag value if not resold/reused. Did you ever get information about that, one way or another?
