From the Archives
Just over two years ago I was about halfway through my pregnancy & we'd been calling the baby Sprout for months. Around this time we found out the wriggly little fetus was a boy. I'd thought for the first 20 weeks that I was carrying a girl, so I was surprised.
Thus began months of deliberation over names. Oliver & I agreed on some general ideas, like choosing something with northern European origins & something that wasn't in the top 20 most popular names in BC. Beyond that though, it was difficult to decide. We actually didn't finalize his name until Sprout was a week old.
