Today we biked about 17 km: to Granville Island for the Ocean Concrete Open House, then to the Woodwards Building for the kickoff party for Bike Month/renaming launch for HUB, then home again. I think it was about an hour & 15 minutes of riding in total.
Going up the looooong hill on Ontario Street, I noticed today that it's getting easier. I was panting & glad that we missed the light so I got to rest for a minute while we waited to cross Broadway, but not heart-pounding-gasping. Yay!
Another thing I noticed, somewhat unrelated to fitness, was that Sprout really doesn't seem to mind riding in the rain. It wasn't exactly a torrential downpour, but it was raining lightly on each of the three legs of our bike ride today. I guess being born here, he doesn't know any better. I feel like I'll never really get used to the rain because I spent a lot of my formative years living in places where it doesn't rain six days out of seven.
This week's total exercising: 170 minutes. Goal: 210. Getting closer, but still not there yet.
