What is it?
Diaper Dude Messenger I bag
How does it work?
A basic messenger-style bag, the Diaper Dude has a large clip so you can open the strap, clips on either side so you can attach it to a stroller, lots of pockets inside & out which are sized for diapers, bottles & the various other things you're going to be carting around as a parent.
Why is it good?

I'm not a big fan of pink or floral prints, so that ruled out a lot of diaper bags. Plus, both Oli & I were going to be using it, so something a bit more gender neutral was in order. I couldn't find anything that fit the bill without spending over $100, so when I found the Diaper Dude, I was thrilled. It looks like the kind of bag that I use a lot of the time--designed for dads, but I think it appeals to a lot of women who aren't into girly prints or bags that just scream I'm-a-mom-with-a-minivan! The Dude comes in a lot of different patterns, like pinstripe or plaid or camouflage. Many of the colours available are very neutral & masculine (black, navy, dark green, grey) but there are some more girly ones with pink zippers. It's also a great bag if you're into the skull & crossbones or dragon aesthetic.
Besides the style, the bag is pretty functional. There are two pockets that hold a bottle/sippy cup upright. The included change pad is a bit bulky & I switched it for a thinner one I had around. The bag is fairly roomy for its size & feels pretty comfortable on--it has a very wide shoulder strap which is quite adjustable. The three pockets on the front of the bag are great for organizing wipes, keys, spoons, snacks & all kinds of other stuff I find myself carrying around. There's also a removable cell phone pouch on the strap.
I give the Diaper Dude full points for durability. After eighteen months of daily use, it looks new: we've had no zipper failures or holes or any other issues with it.
Where can I get it?
We found ours at Westcoast Kids, but I've seen them at TJ's Kiddies & various other independent children's stores. If you're in the US, you can buy one from the Diaper Dude website.
How much does it cost?
$80-90 in Canada. This might sound expensive, but it'll last you longer that many other diaper bags out on the market, so you may actually save money in the long run.
*I received no compensation for reviewing this product. We bought the Diaper Dude ourselves & like it.
